Inviting Users

As the app is enabled for your project and issue type, open the app by clicking on the app icon in the issue view.

Now you can insert the e-mail address of the new user (e.g. a new employee or a collegue that just wants to join you on Jira Cloud) and a reference user. Optionally, you can select the Invite without groups option.

Invite User

By clicking the Invite user button, the new user will be created and assigned to the selected groups. After a short animation, the app UI will remain in this state for the used issue, so you have a documentation on what was done by which user. As you switch back to the issue another you will again see this picture.

❗ This action is only available once for every issue. If you want to use the feature again, you have to do it on a seperate issue or switch to the apps backend configuration and select Invite User, where you can use the same feature as often as you like.

Connected Jira Fields

In the app configuration your Jira admin can define, which customfields should be used to pre-fill the app fields. This function improves your onboarding workflow while enhancing the apps way to be integrated in your Jira site.

App Fields

Email of new user

Please enter the email address of your to-be Jira user in this field.

❗If this user already exsists you will get an error message and you will not be able to invite the user.

Reference user

Please search and select the correct Jira user you want to use as a reference.

❗ Every user who has the app permission Invite User Functionality will also have the global permission to Browse users and groups for this use case.

Invite user without groups

If you select this option, the user will be created without any group memberships.

Reference user groups

As you select the Reference user, you will see a list of all groups he is a part of, which you can deselect separately.
