Dear user, thank you for using the User Magic for Jira app.
To use the app and all its features there are some neccessary and optional steps you should check.
Go to Manage Apps > User Magic for Jira > Configuration

Please remember, that you need to be a jira admin to access the App configurations.

Get the App

Search for the app on Atlassian Marketplace and click on Get app.

Define App user

The App user tab is there to define a user, who will be used as the one creating new users, as it is required to authorize the access towards the Create User API. This only has to be done once.

Please notice, that this user has to have the organisation admin role.

  1. As you open the grafik-20240530-143009.png tab on the grafik-20240530-142821.png page in “Manage your Apps“, the current user will automatically be selected as the app user.

  2. To authenticate yourself please create a new API token by clicking on grafik-20240530-142707.png, which will re-direct you to your personal security settings.

  3. Select grafik-20240530-142342.png and grafik-20240530-142736.png it to the clipboard.

  4. Switch back to the app user configuration tab and paste it into the grafik-20240717-134447.png field.

  5. To confirm just click grafik-20240530-142605.png.

As the App User was defined you can now use the app from the backend. For further configuration and how to use the app on issues, please check the Admin Guide.
